Horses for Sale

Starbuck   -    SOLD

Starbuck is a perlino stallion that is about 9 years old.  I bought him about a year ago and due to unforseen circumstances, I cannot get him registered.  The former owner told me that he was registered with APHA but I never received the registration from her.  He is 14.2 hands, very docile and a beautiful mover.  I have 2 colts for sale out of Starbuck - see below.  I am letting Starbuck go to the right home (preferably a natural horsemanship home) for $1200 OBO.  He will make a great addition to a breeding program as he will only throw color - palominos, buckskins, or smokey blacks.

Julianna Lena - SOLD

Juliana is an 11 year old red dun dead broke cutting horse.  I passed my Parelli Level 2 on her and she has many level 3 tasks completed on her also.  At one time she was a finished cutting horse but I never had time to show.  I have used her as a lesson horse as well as a broodmare (see her 2007 colt below).  She rides English as well as western and is very athletic and talented.  She is a grand daughter of Smart Little Lena.  I will let her go for $5000 OBO.  I paid more that twice that much for her as a 4 year old.  She will make a great first horse for anyone.

Steele

2007 Smokey Grulla (Smokey Black with dun factor) out of granddaughter of Smart Little Lena (see above).  This little guy came 3 weeks early and the first picture was taken when he was 2 weeks old.  He was silver colored with very distinct dun markings (dorsal stripe and tiger stripes on front legs).  The second picture is of him at 2 months old.  He is losing his baby coat, but he's filling out nicely as you can see.  He will be halter and trailer trained when he weans and I will also put natural horsemanship handling on him.  Right now at 3 months old, his face has darkened up so it is evident that he is a smokey grulla.  Most of his body is still silver.    He has also continued to muscle up.  He's built like a brick house.  He is a bargain priced at $1500.

Smokey

This little golden buckskin colt is 3 days old in the pictures above.  He is out of my beloved mare, Annie, grand daughter of Doc Quixote.  Annie made finals in the NCHA futurity.  I have not named this baby because I may keep him.  He is going to be really special.  His sire is Starbuck - my stallion - see above.  He is priced at $2000.  He will be halter and trailer trained when he weans and I will also put natural horsemanship handling on him.

Update: 11/16/2007 - This baby has shed his original coat and he is a smokey black.  It's amazing to see the transformation.

Caroline

1998 Appendix Bay Mare, 14.3 hands. $1800 OBO
Caroline is a very beautiful mare (long thick mane and tail) that needs a job. She is extremely athletic - very light. She has been ridden by a 13 year old girl but needs to be ridden by a confident rider because she is so light. Her back ground is somewhat of a mystery but she appears to have some reining training on her. Motivated seller. Make offer.
